Why expat scouting?

With over 183 nationalities present, Brussels is the most international city in Europe. Many communities have a well established cultural life, around schools, cultural houses, churches and youth activities, and also scouts.

Some, like us, enjoy the interesting nature of Belgium, and are combining cultural life, youth engagement and nature, through national scout groups.

As you might have seen in a Brussels park on a sunny weekend, scouting is a popular activity in Belgium. The Expat Scouting in Belgium members are scout groups that offer activities in their national language, often affiliated to one of the Flemish or Francophone scouting movements and their home scouting movements.

On this site you can find out more about our movements, whether individually as well as common activities such as our Camporee. You can also contact us, should you be interested in experiencing more.

Enjoy!

Expat Scouting in Belgium includes members from Esperanto Scouts and the Scout movements of Finland, Hungary, US(BSA), UK(BSO), Czech, Slovakia, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Denmark (DDS and YMCA)
